CENIIT is a research organization, founded in 1988, within Linköping University. CENIIT handles a part of the research funding within the university, and the budget for 2010 is approximately 8.3 MSEK. CENIIT is currently supporting 17 projects. CENIIT is lead by a board with seven members, three from industry and four from the university.
The aim of CENIIT is to support research concerning the use of information technology in industrial products and processes, and to give funding to younger researchers in order to encourage the formation of new research groups.
All projects are evaluated annually, and the typical duration of a project is six years. The evaluation of projects is mainly based on the following factors:
