Paper formatting instructions

Final accepted papers (accepted for either oral or poster presentation) must be prepared in IFAC conference format. Use the LaTeX template (tar.gz, zip) or the Word template. Papers must not exceed 8 pages length and do not include page numbers. If you experience problems with the templates, see the support pages for the LaTeX template and word template.

Authors must submit their paper in PDF format via the online paper submission site no later than the deadline stated at the important dates page. Postal addresses, electronic mail, fax, and telephone numbers should be listed on the cover page of all papers. Please ensure all fonts are embedded in the PDF file.

Accepted papers qualify as regular or poster papers. All accepted DX-09 papers will be published in the Workshop notes. The Workshop notes will be distributed to all participants.

Producing PDF-files in size A4 with LaTeX

As the proceedings will be printed in size A4, we would like to ask all authors to verify that their submitted final papers are in A4 format. On our system (TexLive-2008), a pdf of the template can be produced in either of the following ways:

If you prefer to use pdfLaTeX, the command below directly produces a PDF in size A4.
      pdflatex ifacconf

If you prefer to use latex, dvips, and then convert your postscript to a PDF file, the following set of commands produces a a PDF in size A4.
      latex ifacconf
      dvips -t a4 -Ppdf -o ifacconf.dvi
The above set of commands uses the ps2pdf command included in the ghostscript package. But any postscript to pdf converter should work.
